How it Works:
The Servoyant, Multipurpose Agent

A multi-platform, compact and efficient monitoring and management agent that consumes minimal resources and runs as a service. The agent collects device telemetry and executes tasks/jobs in an on-demand, scheduled or proactive basis to resolve issues. It can be activated in either a Local or Master mode, providing the ultimate versatility in deployment options.

  • Local Mode: It provides complete management, monitoring and remediation services on the local device on which it is installed.
  • Master Mode: In master mode, it is capable of monitoring and managing other devices on the network that cannot run an agent locally. This agent-less mode provides flexibility in environments where agents are not preferred. Dedicated hardware is not required.
  • Firewall Friendly: Servoyant’s architecture is designed for maximum performance and security. All communication between agent and the central database is initiated by the agent utilizing HTTPS outbound connections, without any firewall setting re-configuration.
  • Security: Our end-to-end security architecture utilizes multiple layers of encryption. 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standards (AES) is used to secure the payload, asymmetric key exchanges are used to authenticate the sessions, and data is transported using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This ensures that all communication and data exchange are secure. Should you require a security discussion or certifications for regulatory compliance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Rapid Setup Process
With a quick signup process, rapid deployment, provisioning templates and automated discovery, administrators can manage and monitor an entire network in minutes. Offered in Software as a Service (SaaS) or an appliance, the Servoyant solution can coexist on existing equipment, and dedicated hardware is not required. Full branding support makes the solution your own.
Deployment
Recognizing the complexity and diversity of devices in today’s technical environments, Servoyant provides numerous flexible deployment methods. These methods can be used independently or in combination. Each agent deployed is automatically pre-configured with the parameters of the account for which it was created and does not require any user intervention. Servoyant agents can be deployed locally or remotely.
Stand-alone:
The agent installer is extracted and deployed by running the provided executable at the target device as in most standard Windows installer environments.
Group Policy Object (GPO):
Servoyant will automatically generate the administrative templates required for the Group Policy. The administrator can then utilize Microsoft’s group policies in Active Directory to automate the deployment of the agent based on organizational units. This methodology overcomes the typical challenges inherent to administrative, security roles and permissions management.
Log-in Script:
Used in conjunction with the Stand-alone installer, the Log-in Script, which is published through Active Directory, verifies the successful deployment of an agent.  If the agent had not been installed, it automatically installs the current agent at that time.
Push:
Servoyant provides a silent installation of the agent performed from the Servoyant console. The administrator can decide on target device to deploy the agent to and install it remotely in the background without any interaction with the end user.
Smart Test Arrays
Once the agent is deployed, it discovers the environment/machine on which it is installed. By default it is always installed in Local mode. Based on the results of the discovery it intelligently provisions the default array of tests and thresholds that need to be deployed to enable remediation, monitoring and management of the target device.
Smart Test Templates
Allows administrators to create test templates or use the provided out of the box templates to monitor devices and applications. The provided templates support leading manufacturers such as: Cisco, HP, Juniper, Foundry, Liebert, APC, Bluesocket, and more…
Management Templates
Servoyant allows for the creation of rule-based management templates that detail the actions resulting from defined conditions (e.g. notification templates, scheduling reports, and resolution profiles, etc…). These templates simplify mass customizations and allows for easy, consistent deployments and management.
Logical Grouping
Each environment can be broken down into specific groups of devices based on location, operating system, type, networks, or in ad-hoc groups. This facilitates the management of groups of devices based on common attributes.
Unlimited Operators
Allow an unlimited number of operators to access the data related to target devices or networks. Administrators can define Role-based Access rules and permission that provide visibility or accessibility to certain features, functionalities of the platform and devices.
